RIO NAPO RIVER

The Rio Napo River is the largest tributary of the Amazon River. It was discovered by Francisco de Orellana, and is the major means of transportation for the people of the area. Rural communities can be found along the Rio Napo. The Divas witnessed many children washing their clothes and traveling alone in boats on the river.
