COCA, ECUADOR

This was our view as we flew to Coca, Ecuador. TREES EVERYWHERE! We aren't in Oklahoma anymore!

The tiny, but efficient Coca Airport.

This was our Taxi from the airport to the Napo River. Juan, our guide for our stay at Yachana
met us at the airport, arranged for this cab, loaded our luggage, and rode in the back because there wasn't enough room. What a gentleman!

Vendors lined the streets of Coca.

This is a "Party boat". The locals come here on weekends for fun. It is NOT the Yachana boat.

This is the resort by the Napo River where we met our boat.

.....And then a MONKEY just came out of nowhere and started drinking juice out of a glass on the table. You can imagine how excited we were. The waiter just acted like it happened all the time.

This is a two-toed sloth just hanging in a little tree at the resort. He did move just a little. Below is a picture of his face. What an interesting little animal!

THIS is the boat that will take the four of us on our three hour trip down the Napo River to Yachana Lodge. It had been very rainy lately and the river was very high. Juan provided us with boxed lunches of chicken sandwiches, chips, finger bananas, Oreos, and juice. He ate fish that he had wrapped in leaves and steamed back at the lodge.

Below are some of the pictures taken as we were leaving Coca.
